Built by three women who lived this — different countries, same inburgering deadline. Practice every section of the real DUO exam, in a language you actually speak. Opens in small batches so early users get real support.

Six months out, two weeks left, or starting over after a fail — Kora meets you where you are.
Not a question bank. A coach that listens, corrects, and adapts. Open Kora in the morning, get a fifteen-minute drill shaped to where you struggled yesterday. Close it. Live your day.
You have time. Let's not waste it.
Six months out, no roadmap, twenty browser tabs open. Kora gives you a daily 15-minute path tied to your exam date — so you build a habit instead of a panic.
Failed one section? Don't start over.
Kora reads what tripped you up last time and rebuilds practice around your weak spots. The parts you already passed don't waste another evening.
Two weeks out. Let's prioritise.
Forget covering everything. Kora finds the drills that move your score most from where you are right now, and runs them until they're automatic.
No diagnostic essay. No 12-step tutorial. Tell Kora a few things about you and the deadline you're working toward, and Kora gets on with it.
Mother tongue + inburgering exam date. That's enough for Kora to know which language to coach you in and how much time you have left.
A few questions across speaking, listening, reading. Kora finds the parts you already know cold — and the parts that need real work.
Kora picks the next drill, runs it, and tracks what stuck. Open the app in the morning. Close it after one short session. That's the whole loop.
The three of us came to the Netherlands for different reasons. One of us came for love. One came for work. One came for a new life. But when the inburgering deadline arrived, we all felt the same thing: pressure.
Not just exam pressure. The kind of pressure tied to your residency, your right to stay, your family's future. The kind where failing doesn't just mean retaking a test, but uncertainty about everything you've built.
So we studied. And we struggled.
We moved between DUO practice tests, scattered exam-prep sites, ChatGPT tabs, and Google Translate. Four or five tabs open at once. And we were still missing something.
Then one of us noticed something in a DUO waiting room. People from completely different countries, speaking completely different languages, all doing the same thing: quietly typing into AI tools minutes before their exam.
We were all trying to build the same workaround. Because no existing tools were actually built for the DUO exam itself. Nothing tracked your mistakes, adapted when you got stuck, or explained the 'why' behind an answer. Just more prompts and guessing.
We started asking: why doesn't something better exist?
So we built it.
Kora brings adaptive practice, real-time feedback, and conversational coaching into one place — shaped around your level, your language, and the way you actually learn. It's not designed to make you fluent. It's designed to help you pass your exams the first time, as efficiently as possible, so you can get on with your life in the Netherlands.
You shouldn't have to build your own study tools while you're already trying to build a new life. Kora is here so you don't have to.
We named it after the kora — a West African instrument used for centuries to pass down knowledge and stories across generations. We hope you'll use Kora to build your own.
— The Kora team
Kora opens in small batches so we can support early learners properly. Tell us your exam date — we'll let you know when your spot is ready.
We're three founders building this in the open. Tell us what you think — it goes straight to us.
Built with people taking the exam right now.
Kora is being tested by people studying for their inburgering exam this season. Their feedback shapes what ships next.
Built by people who lived this.
Three founders, one passed exam, two more deadlines ahead. Every drill exists because one of us got stuck on it first.
Modeled on the real DUO exam.
Same buttons. Same timer. Same picture-description format. Practice screens look like the test on purpose, so test day feels boring instead of scary.
Pay for what you actually study.
Per-section monthly pricing — take just Speaking, or bundle all five. Hand-reviewed free access for anyone facing financial barriers.
"For the first time I understood why my answer was wrong, not just that it was wrong. The coach explained the grammar in Tigrinya and showed me the simpler Dutch version next to mine. That part changed everything."
"Available at midnight, explains in Farsi when I'm stuck, and never makes me feel stupid for asking the same thing twice."
"Two weeks before my retake Kora rebuilt my study around the sections I failed. I stopped reviewing the parts I'd already passed."
